I have such a sweet tooth that when I make myself something for dessert, I try to make it somewhat healthy. Apple crisp isn’t that bad, right? It has oats and apples. Haha! The real reason I made this was because I love apples, however, I am allergic to them. Luckily, I can still eat them as long as they are cooked.
This recipe is similar to an apple pie, minus all of the crust. It’s one of my family’s favorite and we usually never have any leftovers. I usually have mine with a dollop fresh whipped cream and a sprinkle of Ceylon cinnamon. My kids and husband on the other hand love it served warm with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream, drizzled with caramel sauce. Either way, it’s delicious and pretty simple to make. If apples aren’t your thing, I also have a recipe made with peaches that you can try.
